Ok but your shure there is no actall manual? Like one id get if I bought it at a store, dbc came w/ one and I think you can dl it somewhere, I also herard there was dbpro manual somwere, idk any thoughts?

Darkbasic Pro used to come with a manual when you bought it but I doubt they do that now. I got mine in 2005 which is sitting in storage somewhere. The help files are more up to date anyway. In Darkbasic Pro code syntax changes and new commands happen too often for a physical manual. Just imagine the cost of printing new manuals every time Darkbasic is updated... and it's been updated 30 times.

The manual isn't really worth consulting. This is only because it was written in 2000, or thereabouts. For most applications, you buy it and all you get is the odd bugfix. With DBP, it has 10 years of evolution built into it, and the manual has become outdated. The help files are the main source of information as these are pretty much up to date.

Now you have to think like a programmer, not a student! You have a problem and you have to find the best way to solve it. This involves working through the commands that might provide the solution. Along the way, you learn things you never knew and will be useful in the future.
