Is airmod legal and does it ahve any viruses? i want to use it to get iron sights but i dont know wether or not i should get it...

What do you mean by "legal"?

And no, it has no viruses. It's been the basis of most mods since it was first made (PB, Fenix, RPG Mod, EFX, Horror Mod, and so on) and now it's part of the official source.
