Sorry about that last message. Didn't know you could not edit on this forum server.

Message relay: Does DarkBASIC Pro have console formatting capabilities. I read somewhere that DarkBASIC does not support them, but I wasn't sure about DarkBASIC Pro

consoles as in video game consoles?
if so, then NO, you need DirectX 9 to use DBP and no console system uses DirectX 9, sorry.

Okay thanks, that's what I was wondering. Perhaps they will incorporate a higher version of DirectX in newer consoles such as the PS3.

the new xbox may have a higher dx version, but the playstations will never have dx as they are not x86 processor and use proprietary software and hardware as the gamecube does.

the xb will have a custom dx version so you won't be able to program for it either.

also direct x is microsoft and there not likely to give it to theree biggest competitors (sony/playstation)
