Micro stood for the Microchip, Soft stood for well Software...
direct translation really means The OS People. (well if TGC got together and named them they would've been

) hehee
as for what they're planning, i was cool with everything until i found out abot the legislation which is actually backed by ALOT of the big wigs of the industry like Intel, Discreet, Adobe and such ... which if passed would effecively make almost every person in america who own a computer hardware and software would be liable for upto $500,000 if they didn't stop using it.
(doesn't affect anyone else, particularly not Europe due to the EU Human Rights laws)
But who the heck has given Microsoft the shovel and told them to dig this 6ft hole?
i'm not against the whole TPCA thing, honestly i think its cool to stop pirateers - however I am against the government telling me i can't use my NES & Super Mario Bros without being fined because it doesn't have TPCA compliant hardware and software.
Nor would I want to throw away the probably in excess of $80,000 worth of computers and software i own and have to start again...
and i don't think business' would be too pleased either
