...no can do. I'm not touching unauthorized work.

Have your friend rig and animate them for you. With his skill set, he should be more than able to accomplish this task.

. You have no right to be sarcastic when your the one with most the likly 3rd party work. If you had set out from the start that you have found it, or where your friend got them. Then maybe just maybe someone would help or, we'd most likly set you stright on the use 3rd party media though. But even with that you'd still have our respect and we'd be very helpful in providing tutorials, start up media and bases.

But as of right now you have no skillset we know of. A model of high calibre, with a texture that dosnt match up to it. Even though the Uv map is most likly well done. [Shows where the eyes are in corellation the the mesh], he was thinking ahead of time to the texture. [Same with the arm seams]

Also, *my friend* thing. Since i have been here, it has never worked, if you cannot be held accountable for it, then we wont stick our necks out. Especially under these circumstances.

So yeah. If you want to rephrase it, or ask for help properly. People might over look it.

The other problem here; is that numerous people before you have come on the boards with the same story that their "friend" gave them something. They do this, just in case they get caught; then they believe they have an "out"...when, in fact, there is no "friend" involved.

Things like this will mark you for quite some time, and make people here wary about taking you seriously or helping you out in any meaningful fashion. At worst it will get you banned for some time (possibly for good).

I suggest you download Blender, great modelling program! and it is free, then i suggest you google the words: "BLENDER BEGINNER TUTORIAL" or something like that, and look around for a bit!

not sure why cash would be necessary when asking for HELP, not "make this FPSC READY FOR ME" but for help?

Quik, you need to learn the advanced technique called sarcasm.

And , well, yes cash does help, in a way.

Even though everything you would need to make models is free on the interwebs, you cannot deny, photoshop is a better route then gimp, and max is a better route then almost all modeling programs besides blender, and the reason i exclude blender, is because it is a whole package, not just a modeler.

Blender,Max,Maya,Zbrush,Photoshop will be the programs you see used the most in the digital arts industry.'
Although you dont really see maya around here.

But you dont need money to get max, you need a student email :3
Still, you cant sell the models made with a student license.

So yes, $$$+Skill=$$$$$$

im not saying Skill+Free doesnt=$$$$$$
but you probably wont get as good quality work done in the same amount of time.

But, a good route to take would be.

Skill+Free=$$$ >>> $$$+Skill=$$$$$$ >>> Skill+$$$$$$= etc...
Sounds easy, but its not

Keep in mind im the furthest thing from experienced in here, so
take what i say with a grain of salt.

Josh(Great Lowpoly and cartoonish textures)
Henry Ham(Great models,Awesome textures)
Asteric(Great High-Poly and Textures)
Mazz(zbrush)
Neodelito is the best person ive seen use Anim8or
Lazerus has a pretty cool unique style(Hand drawn textures)

are some pretty good artists on this forum.

I don't know MMOJ, you're pretty good. Neodelito and Josh are awesome at lowpoly.

High-polygon means that there are more polygons(you know what a poly is right?) and can really make games slow especially if the engine is unoptimized.

Low-poly is the opposite. There are not that many polygons but if the model is done right, it can look VERY good.

thanks eminent,im flattered. (im waitin to see some more stuff from you )

and yes, eminent is right.

Except thats not all.

Alot of time people make a high poly model, and then make a low poly (often times they just remove the subdivision iterations) and bake the high poly to the low poly and the result is a Normal Map.

Now there is a whole different topic of smoothing groups which makes your lowpoly edges easy on the eyes, but if done wrong, it can make your model look like rubbish.

Here is a better link on normal maps.

I definitly find
Quote: "So yes, $$$+Skill=$$$$$$"
wrong, since you do not have to spend a single buck on the modelling part, you can stick to blender + gimp and get the same results as someone who is using 3ds max + photoshop CS5. In the same amount of time if you know what youre doing aswell.

im flattered

Plus visual aid to prove high poly vs low poly

I do have to admit, 12k isnt that lowpoly in the sense josh, neo +(my dabbling) go into. 1.5k below would be a reasonable low poly mesh. 500 below is very low poly, and most likely alpha mapped to give fake details, like neo done for his rts work.
