I realize that running in FULL SCREEN MODE hides the task bar....however, this mode also destroys my sprites (see disappearing sprites thread). To fix this I need to run in WINDOWED FULL SCREEN MODE, however in this mode the TASK BAR shows. Thus my question is how to hide the TASK BAR when running my DBPRO game. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can reload and recreate your sprites when they get destroyed, or you can try the fullscreen windowed mode from the editor. You probably don't want to hide the task bar yourself.

[edit] If the task bar is still visible in fullscreen windowed then you're either doing it wrong by later changing some window settings or you've set your task bar to always be on top or something, it works fine for me.

It's not very helpful perhaps, but when I use Windowed Fullscreen mode from the editor, I don't get a task bar; but when I select Windowed Desktop I do.

You are talking about the Windows Taskbar, right?
Why not just set it to autohide? Rightclick the Taskbar > Properties > Autohide Taskbar.

@=PRoF= is right. I have used the wrong setting accidentally before... different IDEs use different names for it though. Play around a bit you'll find the right setting.
