Hi,

Some of you may have noticed that I am currently modding the current source code and I'm having a problem. The compiled code works without a hitch on built games, but when building a test game from the editor, the editor crashes with the attached error. However, the test game still builds and runs. No, try as I might, I can't track down the reason for this.

I know of at least one other user suffering the problem, but is there anyone else trying to Mod who has found this. Or more importantly has anyone had the problem and solved it, and if so, how?

TGC aren't offering any support for the source code at the moment so it's up to us to solve this one.

I saw you fixed the editor crash issue, how'd you do it?

I'd change the world, but I don't have the source code

Actually, S4Real really solved it. It was a compiler set up mismatch.

Is the compiler on the google code page the right one?

I'll have to let you know, I swapped the files over today to replicate S4Real's setup and I can no longer compile the source. I'm going to have to rebuild my DBP.

@zeza.

I understand you are still having this crash issue. I'm still trying to track down the actual cause, but think it might be virtual memory. Can I ask what your system specs are and your memeory usage?

Those specs seem fine, how full is your hard drive?

I've got 6gb left... We could be onto something here. I'm beginning to suspect that this is definately a virtual memory issue. These amounts seem more than adequate, but so far, low hard drive space is the only common denominater...

You said that S4real wasn't having this issue, I wonder what his hard drive space is?

It would be nice if we had someone else with like 10 or 15GB free to compile the source, it would be interesting to find the cut off point

@GreenDixy, would you be able to make a build of the source code to test our theory?

@GreenDixy - Thanks.

@Zaza - Could I ask you to email your source to GreenDixy, if you don't mind. Mine contains code which isn't owned by me and therefore cannot be shared.
