I know i need the illuminationent.fx shader, and the _I texture, i looked at the scifi wall lights textures, and the _I texture is a kind of specular map? and how do i get a entiy to self illuminates using this texture and shader?

Set ENTITY's .fpe FILE:

EFFECT = EFFECTBANK\ILLUMINATIONMAP\ILLUMINATIONMAP.fx

Or set another illumination shader of your choosing.

You can also select the shader by accessing the ENTITY's PROPERTIES in the map
editor, by right-clicking on the entity.

I didn't work, i think i have problems with the _I texture

Hi Brunopark09

It is knida like a gray scale version of the original texture. The whiter it is the more it will glow and the blacker it is it does not. I hope that makes sense. There are tutorials are here for Specular Maps and Normal Maps, but I use ShaderMap Pro for most things these days.

You could try this tutorial from Bond1 which I found very useful.
