Hey there!

I've been working on a model of a chair and I think it turned out pretty neat. I wonder if there was someone nice enough around to UV map and/or texture it, please? I will post the textured model here and on the FPSC Models & Media board and it will be free to use for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Attached are the .3ds and .x files of the model.

Here you go, just a simple cube map. Diffuse, spec, bump, norm maps included. 5mins worth of work.

...seriously, my sig was deleted because of 8 pixels? Oh well, no hard feelings to the mod who did it.

Thank you so much Josh! Is it okay if I release this model with your textures on the FPSC boards?

Which program could you recommend for UV mapping? I've used LithUnwrap myself but I find it quite clumsy a program.

lithunwrap is what i used for a little bit, not easy to use though.

Ive heard people say wings 3d is a good uv mapper in it.

I use max's and i love it

I use Anim8or for modelling, I'm not sure if it has a UV mapper. One that works fluently together with FPSC at least

It would be very useful to have a UV mapper in a modelling program though. It's a pain to use two seperate programs for models and UV maps.

EDIT: It turned out I used my own texture after all. UV mapping and texturing the chair wasn't that difficult when I got the hang of it. Thanks anyway Josh

Here's a picture of it FPSC ready.

I think helping people out every now and again is not such a bad thing, especially when people ask nicely and share their work in the process.

Excellent Work Josh & Nigezu!
