How do I get my models on DarkBasic? And after that, how do I use the bones?

Export your models to a compatable object file type, eg: ".x" ".3ds"

Place the model in the same folder that your code is saved in.

Then in darkbasic use the "load object" command, eg: [i]load object "MyObjectName.3ds",1

Don't use .3ds, support was pulled a few updates ago.

To add bones to your model, you will have to use an external program and then export to .x

There“s a plug-in (panda exporter) that can expor from many 3D program...perhaps you can find the plug-in you need for your favorite 3D program.

cheers.

Oh, no, I already have an exporter. I mean, how do I actually operate the character using bones in DarkBasic Pro?

You have to define the bones in an editor. Then, after the model has been loaded into DBP, you can manipulate each limb with rotate limb, offset limb and the other limb commands. I recommend using CharacterFX

It seems like you are asking how to animate your "boned" model in DBPro. If your model is a single mesh with bones that move the vertexes around, then you can't actually do that in DBPro. You have to make the animation in another program (like CharacterFX or FragMotion) and then play the animation in DBPro.

If you make the model as separate "parts" or limbs, you can use the limb rotation and movement commands to animate them, but they won't pull or stretch the mesh as a whole.
