I am currently running through the ODE section of Hands on Vol2. I seem to have hit a wall.. i understand the snippets that have been put in the book but when i hit a key to pass the WAIT KEY command and the program to continue. It does 1 or 2 frames then stops. The aim of the snippet for Vol2 Listing 48.2 Snippet is for you to press a key and basicly the Box object to fall and hit the plane. I tried to correct the snippet but adding Sync ON/SyncR 60 and Sync in the loop which fixed it for the default Gravity of 9.81 assuming that the calculations where being made but the screen was not refreshing to show the results. This worked until i tried lowering the Gravity to a value of 2 as requested in the book... it then continues to do what it did before and begin to move for 1 or 2 frames then just stop. Is the snippet incorrectly coded or is this a bug?

Could you post the code for the benefit of those who do not have access to the book? It would probably help you get a faster and more helpful answer.

I have also been having problems with ODE Physics. See thread http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=177278&b=1. For now, I just went back to using update 7.4. All my ODE source file are working again. If anybody has any more insight into this, please let us know. Thank you.
