Hey all, been a while since I posted anything in 3D chat, wanting some C+C on this assault rifle I've made. Designed it in PimpMyGun by dr noob (link) and then modelled in C4D - gonna move onto texturing next.

looking good mate ,my only real crit is the pistol grip looks a bit square.but if your planning to use it as an fps weapon then its fine as the players hand will hide it .looking forward to seeing it textured.

cheers henry

yeah - i'd noticed that about the pistol grip - i tried smoothing it a bit more but it didn't come out too well

It is an FPS weapon though so it should be fine - nearly forgot about modelling a hand though!

Edit: do you think the ACOG scope is too far forwards? I'm not much of an expert when it comes to stuff like that!

cheers

I personally think it is way too far forward

A little crit: the bullet that comes out of the end of the barrel doesn't have the casing on it (the big fat bit)

@Prasoc yeah, I know - the bullet wouldn't actually be coming out in game, that would only be for previews but thanks anyway.

@everyone else - cheers

Is the back of it SCAR inspired?

Dunno why, just reminds me of one...

Yeah - it's a SCAR stock on the back, well noticed

I've UV mapped it now but I'm really bad at texturing, will post a pic when I've done the (at least temporary) texture.
