Did anybody ever experience after glueing an object to another object, the glued object become sort of like see-thru, and the lighting on it are all incorrect. It seems to me like the glued object face normals are all messed up and the see-thru anomaly is due to backface culling on an inverted face normal, and same case applies to lighting errors.

I am trying to glue the sphere onto a dummy node of my main object. Be aware that the dummy node is actually INSIDE the sphere, although it looks like above the sphere. This is due to the see-thru anomaly after glueing the sphere. You will notice the lighting errors on the sphere after glueing as well, compare to other objects in the scene.

But the funny thing is, if I glue the sphere to the bone of my object, then it's fine. The object along with its bones are created in MAX 5.0 with Character Animation Studio. The dummy node is a cube primitive in MAX, which is also a child of a bone of the object. I was wondering, is there any difference between the bone mesh that Character Studio created for me, compare to the cube mesh of my dummy node?

Any help will be appreciated.
