This is the start of the character for my RPG, still got alot of work to do and some skinning but let me know what you think. It's meant to be a low poly work.

make the feet shorter.

Not even boots look like that.

otherwise nice work, i would work on joining the meshes so it flows through your model, unless your going with a robot style.

Thanks for the crit, and I agree on the boots lol, they're huge. The biggest problem I come across when joining the meshes is when I go to put a skeleton inside I havent figured out yet how to make the deformations at the joints look good, but I'll definitely work on it because I don't like the segmented look either.

Depending on what you plan on doing with the model there are alot of different ways you could aproach the joints. As it says low poly model i assume its for a game, so the be way to create acurate joints is to make sure that you have at least two or three edge loops (I would say three) at each joint to make sure things like leggs arms and neck dont "collapse" when posing. In a three loop system the top and bottom loops help the parts retain shape were the middle loop helps retain some of the joint shape. I cant remember who but someone had a good joint diagram from Poot on deviant art for low poly and high poly complex joint rigging. I would start there and look at his diagrams or look on you tube for a tutorial.
