For those who might not know, the models in the FPSC model packs load easily into DBPro.

Take a look at this thread where I've posted a screenshot showing what you can do with one of the models plus a bump mapping shader and DBPro shadow mapping. And there's plenty more to play with. A real bargain.

Looks nice. Pity I own a fair few of the packs already, but still enough left to get my interest, so I may have to splash for Christmas. Annoyingly, I have purchased a few of these separately too in the game store as well as in the packs lol. So if I buy this will end up having bought some things 3 times, lmao.

As you said great value, anyone who doesn't have any of these and can spare the cash should grab em!

I got this pack. It is a good deal. Quick tip, so far, none of the models I've looked at are welded, so there are tons of duplicate verts. Run them thru something like Ultimate Unwrap (which, btw, alot of them originally were exported from UU)and weld them, and they'll look even better and have a crapload less verts.

another thing you can do in UU is build entire static scenes. Load up an object, then use File > Merge to add more models. They become limbs. Use the 3D manipulator to move things around. Use 3DTools > Modifiers > Copy to make duplicates. Place rocks, trees, fences, buildings, all your static stuff easily. UU makes a great scene editor. It took me a little while to get used to the 3D Gizmo in UU because its a little different than my modeling app, but now its butter.
And with all these models, and textures, I'll be very busy building scenes!

You can do something similar in fragmotion and export as "dbo" or "x" but for my money (actually for free) Mapscape by evolved is far better for this.

In addition you can use his flashlight shader on your lightmapped worlds. You can see what this looks like in the "On-Foot Demo" download for my WIP "Scavengers" here:

EDIT: You'll find a link to the flashlight shader there too...
