It can help people, help people, help them, with issues relating to lag problems in FPSC. Enjoy!

Could you post more details of what this does and some screenshots so people can see what they are downloading first, as it could potentially be a virus so you probably won't get many downloads, if any at all.

Not to sound discouraging.. But..

This screen shows much more information, and does not require you to open up any DirectX Applications. And it pretty much comes with your Windows Installation.

Again, not to be discouraging.. But I hardly consider typing 'dxdiag.exe' into your run console a slow option. Maybe add a little test to the background where it'll see how much your PC can handle before it runs below say.. 25 Frames Per Second?

...almost 9 MB seems kinda large for a simple graphics card checker.

Seth does have a point, anyways.. Take a look at This piece of software, it might give you an idea on how to improve your little testing application.. And perhaps add some basic shader testing, to see whether or not a specific shader would run properly on the user's PC.(Might be difficult, but a great way to learn your way around a language is to test how far you can get, and ask for help where you need it ^^)

Also, I understand your eagerness of showing your learned how to use basic Dark Basic Pro commands.. But I suggest adding some more options to your program and making it as optimized as possible(e.g. ditching the media, in the end it's an informative program.. And trust me, I will surely go berserk should I ever have to hear that music again ) before releasing it. This will get you a much more positive amount of feedback, and less people skipping over your thread.

EDIT : I just realised this post sounded somewhat harsh, my apologies for this.. It's completely unintended.

How does this help people with FPSC problems exactly? All it seems to do is tell you what graphics card you have. Surely someone developing software should already know what they have?

Perhaps if it told gave you some performance info or shader capabilities it would "help" rather than just tell you what you should already know?

Maybe I'm missing something here?

if someone on the forums goes "well what G.C. do u have?" people who might not be very good at finding DXdiag can easily find out, write it down, and delete the program
