Hi guys

I have been working on a weapon model for the past 2 weeks and I'm pretty happy with what I have accomplished. But I just can't get the uv mapping through my head, my lithunwrap isn't loading the model and uvm is very difficult to use, if anyone could help me with this model It would be much appreciated and credit would be given if needed.

Here's the model

Thankyou

Well, it's gonna be hard to make a UV map from just a picture...

the only reason lithunwrap wont load your model is because it has mesh errors.

n-gons, flipped normals, quads that bend in a weird way.

you need to fix all mesh errors anyway.

If your using max, change the viewport options to Xview, and then it will show you in green, the errors. It doesnt fix them for you though.

Exporting the mesh as a .obj and therefore converting it to quads or tris usually work

Thanks guys, I'll export it as .3ds as that triangulates all the gnons.
