HI guys.

I need help because i got a really annoying problem. A few months ago while V1.16 was the latest upgrade my game was running just fine . But now i got V1.17 and when i want to test one of my levels it says that it is too big ! (over the 1.85 GB) it didnt do that before . So I deleted some segments and lighting but it still says it is to big !!! what shall i do ???

thanks

Lower lightmapquality in setup.ini to around 30-32

I like the idea of the memory cap.

Most commercial game editors throw up all kinds of weird errors when compiling maps and I commend TGC for making an effort to give the developer useful information about the build process.

It might be a pain to reduce lightmapping quality significantly though for detailed maps so I'd like to see the possibility of deferred rendering investigated which would take the whole lightmapping and memory problem away.

i hate the new updates. i had to reinstall multiple times to get it to work right. call me crazy, but v1.00 is THE most stable. it may take longer to load lights, but it builds portals faster (something new updates cant do) and runs most of the time without lag. plus, no migraines. I am NOT going to update until the release a fully stable and absolutely bug free update.

You might be here awhile then lol V17 works great though. Ive learned RAM is critical durning build process. I have 2 gigs DDR2 still not enough for larger builds.
