Is there a way to have the player start in a ventilation duct? I've placed my player start marker inside a vent duct. I tabbed down when I placed it and have ensured that the start marker is entirely enclosed within the duct, but every time I start the game the player spawns on top of the duct not inside it.

Is there a way to fix this or is it just impossible? cos it's really gonna screw with the continuity of my game if I can't start in the duct.

Cheers.

as of right now you can not have the player start in a ventilation duct.

The only fix for this is to edit the source.

EDIT
or have the player start in a room with the vent being the only way out.

You could make a slightly bigger room that looks like it's part of the ventilation duct with a big fan in it with a light or something, so the player still feels like he/she is still in the duct, but it is a normal sized room. Just my 2 cents.

just add the textures from the vent to any wall/floor and the fan can be like a door but haves blades

I have done this all it requires is alittle ingenuity. What you need to do is rotate a corner or tee vent segment in the upward direction. Do this with a straight as well. This will take sometime to get right if you don't know what you are doing.

Edit the fps file to get the results or put it in the segment creator or similar program. I hope this helps.
