I'm not sure if anyone has seen it, however there is an advert currently running on UK Television for a new product called Lucosade Aqua.

My bro has told me that in it there is a chick made of pure water doing acrobatics in the rain... If anyone living within the UK can possible copy this advert onto thier computer and email me it in DivX/Bink format perhaps 320x240 (or bigger) - I'd really appriciate it.
Last time i asked my brother to do something like this i got an episode of scooby doo

i'm looking around the lucasade site for it, but can't find it

i dunno... dunno how much they sell it for Lucozades only sold in the UK, China and Japan

but i doubt it could be any dearer than Evion or something like that, in the UK i don't know many people unless they're camping who drink bottled water - here you don't touch it unless it is bottled or you have some hyper-expensive purifier thingie attached to your water valve.

its annoying cause i can't even find the product online of what my bro was talking about ... but realised how much i miss drinking the energy drinks
i'm sure someone has a TV adapter, a TV and some free time

Quote: "In fact, Lucozade Sport Hydro Active provides better hydration for exercise than water alone*, thanks to its refreshing light fruit flavour which encourages greater amounts of fluid to be consumed."

So it's basically a expensive clear version of orange squash.
No wonder they needed the fancy advert.

lol... and yet still not closer to a screeshot
it is weird how they don't have anything on the site about it, not even like a product shot or anything.

i'm not a huge Peter Kay fan tbh, i mean he's alright but like most northen comedians just seems loud and boarish.
i like alot of comedians, but personally find the comedians that use something to note difference - like Black's that'll make fun between the White&Black Difference, or Gay comedians that make fun or well everything...
i mean its like they can't find anything truely funny to say, so they'll just make fun - what a crock

I like alot of the Southern UK comedians, Irish (some bloody funny irish guys), Aussies & Canadians ... dunno why but those people seem to have the best sense of humour to me

-- -- --

well anyways i've decided that even if there can't be a few screenshots taken i'll just make something up - i'm sure it can't be that hard to get something good lookin' going

(you want a classic advert the guiness' 1995-7 campaign, had purely the best music and was kinda like an indipendant film style)

raven if i had my captuing computer i would of captured it by now.

it'll possibly float around the internet within a few weeks. but it dont seem to be a popular advert to warrant a internet release.

The Lucozade ad is possibly the best ad I've seen this year. It is absolutely class, a very well made piece of animation. I hope you find it Raven, it'll be worth the wait.

So what do you think? The web version doesn't do the full screen one justice.

Lots of nice particle effects for the water trails, methinks.

no the web one isn't even close to TV quality, being used to HDTV probably doesn't help

i'm actually trying to work something out about it as i'm not entirely convinced that it is actually CG - usually i can spot things a mile off, but i think there are several layers.
in what way not sure ... just very sure that most of the water effects are actually real water - infact i'd wager that most of it is real but they've overlayn the water effect on the person.
If you look at when she's underwater you'll see why i say that.

Nothing new really, they copied a technique used in the film Hollowman.

maybe, but i doubt it ... very highly doubt it - think it was a far simpler and cheaper method.

I'd say it was more akin to 'The Abyss' - not a hugely impressive effect because the water never defracts like it should. Personally I like those domino effect car ads, with the components working like some weird domino set that eventually start the car. I was always fascinated by that sort of machinery art stuff (I can watch the inner workings of a pinball table for hours).

I had a guiness screensaver, wasn't weird dancing guy, it was the quotes one, it would say something like 'A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle' - then show an animation of a fish on a bike going round and round. The funniest adverts ever though are the Irn-Bru ads.

Van - yeah I love that ad (the car one with all the pieces).

Amazingly that ad is 100% real, no computer parts at all. They basically set the whole thing up and it took around 1200 takes to get it right You can see how they have weighted the tyres and the like and used magnets, but it's still remarkable.

The Hydro one is ok, but not that impressive. Just very well cut together.

Cheers,

Rich

Very impressive, especially the windscreen wipers crawling across the floor like a sniper. The one bit that spoils it is a very heavy wheel somehow rolling up the seesaw.

(^_^) is nice to see creative adverts on TV, Honda have had alot of more and more creative adverts recently.

prefer the adverts that have had some actual thought put into them, they don't have to be like huge budget CG everywhere.
Just something that doesn't look like it was made for Public Access TV, or that they've thrown aything in

i like the IBM eBusiness ones, they just seem polished
not sure why but my bro's been recently sending me tapes of my favourite shows from SkyOne and on them they've had Irish adverts - those guys seems to have more appeals for you to give money than personal insurance (i'd rather be guilted into giving my money to the needy than the greedy)

Crap advert of the month: That one with the floating 3D text T-Mobile phones. It looks like it was made in the early 90's when 3D floating text was a new effect.

In the last scene, they even forgot to move the shadow on the floor.

got a floating text one here for them... looks pretty awesome, the text looks like it is actually within the scene rather than rendered afterwards, there's one bit where its outside of a shoppingmall or something and its raining - you can see it splashing all over the text and everythone walking around the text is reflected.
