Hi all

For the last few weeks, along with other 3d projects, I have been working on my first casual game, quite plainly called "The Dog Game." You play as a somewhat clever dog who's "mission" is to stop some newborn dogs from walking astray (on the road).

It has a similar gameplay style to plants vs zombies and brick breaker. I've also spent a lot of time with the sound fx and music and animation, aswell as some eyecandy for the menu.

To do list:
Mouse orientated gameplay
Ammo system
Semi 3D depth
Animated Characters
Character Selection
Full level

Here's some screenshots

and here's the download

Tell me what I should work on

Nice simple kids game! I like the style and music very much.

My son will love it!

There are a few times when the transparent parts of the sprites go black (not sure why).

It needs a scoring system.

Make it possible to exit using escape or another key.

Other than that it's a solid start to a nice simple game. Good work!

Hmmmm... I haven't experienced that error, I'll have to check that out. It origionally had an esc key exit. But if you press f4 it puts the screen into window mode for easy exit.

That's a nice fun project you got there, good work. It's size is a bit large, perhaps most of it is taken up by the music/sfx?

I also get the transparent area turning black in both full and window mode. Happens when it's transitioning from one phase to another.

Well, since this is a game maker game, I believe it goes into Geek Culture.

But it was very nice, I enjoyed it.

Keep it up!

Is this only for Darkbasic? I thought it was for any game (exept fpsc)

PoloFlece: Continue to post and update this game and a mod will move it where it needs to be when they notice it.

You could easily remake that on dbc/dbp then there shouldn't be any problems at all.
