I am using the particle physics system that now comes with DBP.

Is there a way to rotate an emitter? I've tried rotating the object it's bound to but that doesn't work.

To the best of my knowledge, no.

I haven't found a way, and it's really annoying that only this feature would make the nice particle system usable.
But if you can only blast particles up, the default otherwise great particle system is useless.

I think he means the old "Cloth and particles" plugin, which is now included with DarkBASIC. The basic particles are useless in 3D because they don't have zdepth(?).

These commands:
set emitter particle velocity EmitterSmoke,28,50

I mean how difficult would it be to add direction(other than up) to that function? It would make it a perfect particle pack.
