Im working on a project with a friend and he started it using bluegui, i plan on buying bluegui at christmas time, but now i dont have the money to buy it.

Is it ok to *compile* the project with my friends key until i get my own?

I would not be selling anything with it until i bought it myself.

Its just hard to fix bugs and add features to test without being able to compile myself.

Probably not.
Although sharing the actual dll is probably not permitted either

You can compile it on his machine.

Quote: "You can compile it on his machine. "

Thats what we've been limited to doing, except he lives halfway across the country.

So i have to send it to him every time i make an update over msn. And then if he's awake and im not or vice-versa i end up just leaving it out or else it takes forever to work in.

I wont do it if i stand any legal trouble.

But as it stands, me buying it is a definite no until christmas time.

Im just trying to get work done without having to wait a month.

It isnt really hurting the creator, or my friend. Its only helping the project and our progress.

If it's a relatively new project you might want to look at bbb gui which is very similar (and in many ways better) than bluegui. Also it's free

Alrighty, i will try to compile my own version of it, my friend tried it but ended up sticking with blue, maybe if i can get a similarly functioning version up and running we can switch.
