Hey Forums, I kinda' thought that you guys would like to share your ideas for a storyline, and maybe get your "creative juices" flowing. Heck, maybe newer game creators can get some inspiration. If you do post your thought, please no larger than 2 paragraphs. I'll be listening!

Here are a few from the past, some of which I worked on but never to completion. Most of my ideas are taken from movies or other games and normally become a mixture of them.

1.Sci-fi
In the future, aliens and humans share the earth and they have also shared with us much of their technology. You are a scientist, working on a time machine, when war breaks out and much of mankind is destroyed. You must use the time machine to go back in time and change or prevent the events which led up to the war. The future of mankind is in your hands.

2.Horror
You have lived a wretched life and you’re destined to go to hell. Your only hope, as found in the lost book of the ancient demon Baal, is to fight your way through the levels of hell and defeat Baal himself. If you make it to the end, you’ll be saved. Otherwise you’ll just be that much closer to your eternal home.

3.Post-Apocalyptic
As times get tougher and the people become more restless, the state institute’s televised games to keep the people amused. Unwitting contestants are “volunteered” by the state and networks to amuse the masses by fighting to the death in blocked off quadrants of the destroyed cities. When you get a little too ambitious and start asking questions, you are “volunteered” to be the next contestant on “The Game”. Fight your way through all the major cites to win your freedom and the title of Peoples Gladiator.

Fantabulous xplosys! Was the post-apocalyptic based off of the novel "The Hunger Games"? Either way, they all sound great.

No, the Richard Bachman (Stephen King) novel, "The Running Man".

How about a dance game like Strictly Come Dancing
and instead of being voted off you get killed
for being a sad g** with nothing better to do.

Sounds good mickeyb. Maybe it could be a mixture of yours and xplosys' post-apocalyptic idea, where they are randomly chosen to dance, or they die!
