You may have noticed that over the last month or so I haven't been very active, like with all things life has gotten in the way. Since becoming an IT teacher I find I've very little time to follow up on emails sent about threads and members.

Therefore I regret that I'll have to take a few steps back from Moderating, with the possibility of stepping down from moderating altogether. There's also a strong possibility that we'll be looking to recruit FPSC mods in the near future (but don't hold me to that )

I won't be leaving TGC altogether and will still drop in to moderate while I can but can members refrain from sending me emails as I don't want to disappoint as no action is taken.

There's been up's and down's while I've been a moderator but I'd like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement and I wish the best of luck to any future moderators.

As a result of Nickydudes announcement I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank him for his support at the FPSC boards and the significant contribution he has made all round.

Hope things go well for you mate.

Just a note to everyone - as Nickydude has said above we may seek to appoint some new FPSC Mods in the near future, possibly by the same method as FPSC Mods have been chosen previously. If so then we will have a Sticky created for that purpose later some time perhaps.

In the mean time some of us Mods will have rather more to do so your help is appreciated in keeping the boards tidy and sensible. To that end as you will have seen by my recent actions I and the other Mods wont have the time to debate much over them and so any threads which dont meet the rules will just be locked up or otherwise attended to quickly and sharply. Thats how it goes.

Your help in the time forthcoming will therefore be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

That's great to hear, Nicky! I was offered to teach programming at my old high school not too long ago. I definitely think teachers (good teachers) are some of the best people in the world. No one can hold a stick to those who pass on knowledge. I'm sure you'll be one of the best (and coolest) IT teachers there.

Good luck with your real life affairs, we'll miss you while you're gone! Come back whenever you want, we know you will! Everyone does, lol!

It's all good.
We know we will see you around now and then, just not as a moderator.
We have enjoyed your work here in the forums, and I'm sure your students will love your new work.
Keep having fun with it, and best of luck Nickydude.

May you live long and prosper!   ,\\//

I do appreciate it how much time mods must give up to check these boards as reguarly as they do. I dont visit these boards half as much as I should but I like to help with the odd email if I spot somethin a mod has missed

Thanks for the time you have given to TGC and FPSC. You are a hard worker and where I come from hard workers deserve to be rewarded for their efforts (work).

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

You'll definately be missed around here Nickydude, you've always been an awesome moderator. I'm sad to hear that you're stepping back from the community, but i do wish you the best of luck in life. I also hope you become a successful, well-known teacher. (Which i'm sure you will.)

Cheers, Jake
