I wont ask frequently asked noob questions. HOW TO MAKE A MODEL
or where to find free models.
I`ve done a few models in sketchup but the thing is.
NICE AND CLEAR:
How to UVmap them?

LithUnwrap is worth giving a try. It's a free UV mapping software. Rather hard to use but that's what I use for my models.

I suggest Wings 3d, a lot easier to use, and it supports a lot of file formats. I've also written a simple tutorial on how to unwrap an object in W3d. You can view it here.

Note: Since the Wings3d latest update, you'll need to use mouse button shortcuts instead of the menu trees shown. It's easy, when you select a function look at the bottom left of the screen to see what each mouse button does, you'll be able to follow the tutorial easily.
