Hey guys, So I was just dusting off the DBPro cobwebs and looking around the website.. Theres a lot of information to take in. It's cool to see so much documentation, add ons and whatnot but I was wondering if I could just shoot out a few feeler questions..

With all these add ons and dlls and such, do you guys recommend a certain package of them all together? I checked out the Dark Game Studio pack.. it seems pretty solid. Right now I only own Dark Basic Professional, Classic and the 2DKit plugin. I can remember quite enough to get something up and running with just DBPro, but what sort of recommendations do you guys have for some of these packs? Essential.. almost "must have" kinda things...

Collision: I USED to own NG's really awesome dll, I have no idea where it is, and I'm not sure if he has a record of my purchase. (If you read this, NG, lets hope you remember me )

I think I had more questions but ATM they escape me... but I'm glad to be back and hopefully in a lil while I can put something up for you guys to check out.

Thanks in advance for any answers or orientation you guys might have.

Wayne

Hi, Welcome back

The Dark Game Studio is an amazing deal, and I bought it even though I already had DBP and a few of the other bits.

For me, the truely indespensible things are as follows...

IanM's Matrix plug in - FREE
Sparky's Collision plug in - FREE
BlueGUI 2 - Not free and sadly no longer supported. BBB_Gui is a similar plugin, which is free, but I have never used it.
Cloggy's D3D plug in - FREE

Most of these are freely downloadable from the forums here.

And thats about it.

Welcome back! I also bought the bonanza deal (and now own three licenses of some products...)

I can't think of four better plugins to start with than those listed above!

If you prefer working in 2D I would seriously take a look at Diggsey's Box2D plugin though. Not cheap but very good.
