Not that I know of. I just took a look at Matrix Utility commands but couldn't find anything there.

Which attributes are you wanting to change? There might be a windows dll you can access them with...

You won't find anything in my plug-ins for file attributes because I don't see any point in supporting them. If someone can come up with a reason that I agree is a good one, then I'd consider it.

IanM, cant think of any good reasons either, other than selfish one's,
I am playing around with an old style file commander, in the XTGold fashion and need to read the file attributes, just thought someone may have or know of an existing dll. not asking anyone to write one as you said, no good reason.

The only things I can think of is using the file attributes to hide the files from the user to prevent them from editing any data that may be in .txt files. And/or the file can also be changed to a system file so it prevents the user from deleting the file even if it's not hidden (which also prevents deletion).
