This all depends on what software you are designing the person in, i could be wrong on this one but that is what i think.
I do not know this because i have not done this ever before, but I'm sure that someone will help, that is of course they are not really annoyed with you with all those posts, stay calm and positive and maybe someone will help you.

Try not to ask questions all the time, try staying offline for a while and build your game, I'm sure after reading the entire book you may still get confused with the words and may not remeber the codes because you are trying to hard, stay chilled for a while.

For me - someone please help him.

Also do you people get this problem sometimes, like somedays you totally remeber the codes and some other days your like, damm whats the code and get worried and read the entier manual again?
I'm sure after about 6 months you will get used to the codes.

Thanks a lot.

An object is divided into separate "limb" - like a head, arms, feet etc.

Each limb has its own ID number, and this is what is required by DB.

c:/dos
c:/dos run
run dos run

I think Basic 3D example 3 shows a good example of how to establish which limb is which. Either that, or use DarkMatter viewer if you have it.

I see what you mean, but if i design a character using a piece of software, how do i find the limb?

The Command you need is

GLUE OBJECT TO LIMB Object Number, Second Object, Limb Number

Use in the following manner

load object "Player.x",1
position object 1,0,0,0
load object "Sword.x",2
position object i,10,50,20
glue object to limb 2,1,0

note the position of the sword is only relative to the position of the player after gluing

the sword axis should be defined around the handle.

I hope this helps

I did know that Codger but thanks anyway, i am confused about DarkMATTER.
I mean there's like a DB and 3DS, so i go into the DB folder and take all the items out of the mummy folder, and it will not show the mummy on the screen, it loads but it wont show the actual mummy.
Weird.

I've got the hang of it, but here's a question, this is once again a quick question about designing a character.

I would have to make the head, body etc seperatly, so if i was to place a sword already into the hand, wont that mean it has a limb number of it's own?

I now understand why you need glue object.
