Hi all,

Just got back from the convention, a fun 2 days with lots of demos from Mike, an excelent 20liner from DarthStar, an interesting editor from Ravey and a lot of drink.

Here are a few pictures from the convention:
From left to right, Ravey, Mike and IanM

RobK

TCA

There was also a coding challange that 4 people entered, pictures of these can also be found on my site, the games will be released shortly.

More pictures will follow from TCA and TheDarthStar.

The rest the i took our here, http://www.martin.dobie1.btinternet.co.uk/Convention/

lmao... looks more like Ravey & Ian have fallen out with Mike not knowing what to do with himself

where'd you guys end up btw cause the room looks a little smaller than a conference room or something?

I look fairly vacant on that first picture

The convention went really well. Lots of different things going on to keep everyone entertained.

The room was fairly big. Lots of space for computers and a large projector. We had a room next door to use as well for food and drink.

Looks like I have developed a nasty case of red-eye

@David

It's just that the picture was taken at the wrong moment

@Convention Goers

A thought we'd have a poll (for those who were there):

Most entertaining part of the conference:
(A) - theDarthster's ToiletBlazer
(B) - The tech demos
(C) - Mike's dancing

C for definate I just luuurrrve dancing - was nice that I wasn't the only one Mike and Ian can move it real good.

I had a great time, nice bunch of interesting and friendly people, cool demos, talks and games... and the nightlife was pretty cool too Big it up Chichesyer stylie!

Big thank you to The Coding Area for all his hard work

I Loved everyones games, Mike had some really interesting talks as did Rob and in fact everyone had great stuff to show.

Thanks to everyone for coming - enjoyed meeting you all. I would have said thanks earlier but I went to sleep immediately after arriving home.

My feet are killing me from dancing all night long - I'm pretty confident Ian and Mike will be sore too - we rocked Chichester!

Let's do it again next weekend!

Regards,
Dave Milton

Glad you all liked it - as for what we saw, we could tell you, but then we would probably have to kill you.

Thanks to TheDarthster & RobK for supplying a removal system...

wow Rob!

I expected you to be alot older, I mean your only a year or 2 older than me, and you've probably made the most successful plugin for DBPro ever!

Anywayz, alot of you look much different to what I expected.

Perhaps the after-effect of eating too much chilli

It's going to be available on my site shortly. Heh, I had a great time there. Since I created ToiletBlazer, it doesn't have quite the same effect on me, so I'd say (B), the tech demos (I didn't see Mike's dancing, so I have no comment). Especially my space battle 20 liner (http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=17676&b=11) running on the big screen . There was a photo of me standing by it, but it's too dark, so it isn't on my site.

An explanation of ToiletBlazer will be there shortly...

I love that game, it made everyone laugh so much everytime it was played.

But i`m going to vote for `C`. I wish i had a camera with me so we could show you all what it was like.

Its a conference in-joke.

Open up the RoomDemo project which comes with DB, find the urg3.wav sound effect which comes with the FaceDemo (I think), then change the roomdemo to loop the urg3 sound effect while it runs. You'll understand (Observe the RoomDemo guy's high quality animation whilst doing this)
