How do you increase the range of a gun because the range of the commando is way too short.

Go to files/gamecore/guns/ the gun you want to change, then open the gunspec.txt and change range

In the file it says altrange. Is that the same thing and do I just increase the number?

No alt range is the range of the alternative fire, to chnage the range of the normal fire change range to something
