knxrb should get a valued member status because he has done a hell of a lot for this commmunity and he has got no credit for it! It seems modelers get all the credit and programmers get shoved aside like a broken clockwork toy! Well i think he deserves reccognition. here is a list of stuff he has done:

1. FPSC I.P

2. Helped a hell of a lot on the migration

3. helping the community like me with FPScapture!

4. Decal Creator

5. xrMod

6. Horror Mod

7. Script Cleaner

8. Multi-Game

9. Script Debugger

Please show your support and give knxrb a valued member status!

yes he has been a great help to me as well but it seems that making apps or mods
never get a valued member award.

Maybe this will change there a few people I think should get one.

That's a rather general American voting badge.. Which happens to have the same colors as our flag.. As well as about a hundred other flags around the world which use the exact same colors.

Knxrb did the kind of stuff that I wish I could have done Unfortunately he was just a better programmer and got there sooner I think he deserves a valued member status indeed.

But I believe S4real and Ply really need to be valued members.

Although I think this is entirely up to the mods, and I'm not all that sure they appreciate people trying to tell them what to do when it comes the ranking members like this

We will take you concerns to heart but as always will not allow such to have any influence.

We are well aware of who is deserving and thankfully there are many.

As to the Mod situation that is under review and no decision has been made as to whether or not we will seek nominations for any new Mods at all as yet.

Honestly, I usually don't endorse many people or take sides but knxrb has done nothing but help this community. He never just ignores someone he always seems to help out in anyway he can. knxrb is a good person and deserves such a title. He is too humble to say that he does deserve it, but deep down every person that has ever been to this forum knows of something he has done. I understand uman that you are not supposed to take any influence from us. I am not trying to make you have a biased opinion or anything of the like I just simply want to see someone who deserves something actually get it instead of being looked over. I just feel this way.

Knxrb is a very talented writter and designer. I have purchased his software in the past and loved it. I would like to see his software ideas implimented in the core engine. I truely feel as though he is just that good.

Knxrb is deserving but there are several members overdue for VM status as far as I'm concerned...

Airslide -
Early pioneer of the mod scene and creator of Airmod which drove much of the success later mods enjoyed. His work has now made it into the official version and continues to draw new users to the community long after he himself has left it. I can't help but think that were his work recognized in an official capacity, he might not have left us. He did it for free too.

s4real -
Creator of the wonderful (and free) Vishnu product which he continues to improve and expand upon. While it is a free product, it actually makes money for TGC and the community artists in the sense that it is a formidable loss-prevention tool. We also must not forget s4mod which was a free performance mod in times when FPSC needed it most. s4mod was the first complete mod to incorporate Airslide's Airmod and s4mod went on to become the foundation for the revolutionary Project Blue UM. There are no doubts in my mind that we've got many great things to look foreward to as long as s4 is around.

Plystire -
One of the most valuable minds we have in the community and a solid mentor to many. If not for his tutorials and continued involvement, the FPI language would still be a black hole of mystery to most of us who have taken the time to wrap our heads around it. Plystire's legacy of Ply's Mod will be carried into the next generation of FPSC as his brilliant variable systems have made it into the official code-base. Every line worth it's character count in gold as far as I'm concerned. Like Knxrb and myself, the highlight's of Ply's work might be viewed by some as having mercenary leanings which tend to run against the VM/VIP norm but I'm one of the few that think a culture of commerce is healthy for the community if it is to strengthen and survive. Though his involvement with FPSC currently seems to be at its end, I strongly believe Ply's work and contribution needs to be recognized or else we risk losing him as we lost Airslide.

Hockeykid -
It almost seems ridiculous laying this out as he's done so much to shape the migration product and the future of FPSC. He really could skip VM and go straight to VIP as far as I'm concerned. First off we have his Fenix mod which enjoyed a very good run and for very good reasons, not the least of which being it's price-tag: free. I've been lucky enough to work with HK quite a bit through the migration cycle and I've been endlessly impressed with his near-effortless ability to take systems which exist in a rough state and evolve them to polished and robust keystones. Anyone with DBP knowledge can write new code and make new features but it takes someone with Hockeykid's level of insight and professionalism to do it cleanly and without endless revision. Sadly, I think much of HK's work will go on to be unrecognized by the community because the spotlight is taken by the things his work make possible and the casual observer notices only the gem in the window display and completely ignore the building which houses it. For this reason I think he particularly deserves some proper recognition.

I'd love to see all five of these guys get VM'd simultaneously. I think it would go a long way to repairing certian rifts in the community and acknowledge those who have been passed up. When I got my VM badge I stated that I'd give it to Airslide if I could and I still would to this day. Much of the success I've had in achieving artistic vision I owe to these guys, especially as 2011 approaches and I look to future successes.

I know that if TGC is willing to recognize the contributions of these programmers that my own VM status will have more value because it will no longer seem like an award artists get when they give away something decent. It will truly come to represent those who drive and shape the product we've rallied around.

@Errant AI:

Spoken like a true VM. Selfless and upholding of your community. Don't kid yourself, you deserve the VM award you received! You are of the few elite modelers we have here, all of which are just as deserving of their awards. And speaking from a programmer's perspective, I gotta say, a game with little to no media that relies on the user's imagination is hard to get noticed, so having ample media in your box to create your masterpiece is almost required for game devs! You and the others have provided for everyone in the community, for dirt cheap prices AND for no cost at all! That's why I fully agreed with your receiving of the VM title.

The one and only,

However, I have seeds of my own to tend to. I don't have time to be someone else's watering can.
