Please enter new entries to this contest!!!!

Hey people, i thought it would be fun for the DBPro people to take this hello world code in the snippet below and make it as fancy as you can, and submit it in a reply below. I will combine different features to make this the best, most awesome, most visually appealing hello world program there is. Also no media, just native DBPro commands. But try the really cool screen saver in the download button at the bottom right!

an example is

The contest is STILL going and will be for a while, so post your entries and thanks for participating xD

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

I don't know if contests like this are allowed but I think this would be visually more appealing as an example code snippet (edited from your first post):

I don't think there are any problems posting this here but there is a code challenge thread that might be ready for a new challenge and this is a really fun idea! Try asking whoever is the current challenge setter there perhaps? I think the current challenge expired there anyway!

I mostly just wondered if I could do this

Too many objects to be of much use, but kind of different

Edit: I changed numslices=15 and added a few more comments

Runs fine for me...

(I just checked; I'm only getting 20fps :S)

I know, too many 3D objects
My core i7 HP laptop 1.6 Ghz, 6 Gigs RAM, Windows 7
was getting 21fps running 1600x900x32
but then it's only 1 yr old and pretty powerful,
better than my 6 yr old desktop PC.

Change line 34 to have fewer slices in the cube
numslices=20 (21fps 8320 3D objects)
numslices=15 (28fps 6240 3D objects)

I have not done any optimizing of the code yet,
I will work on it, although I think it's just
an issue of too many 3D objects for the sync command.

Edit: Yep the arrays are EXTREMELY fast, just too many objects
for the sync command

Thanks for entering the COMPETITION!! Also, you said could you do that? yesy, you can do anything, just no media, pretty much anything you want that i could copy and paste and would run, and says hello something similar to world xD

There you go, there's a proper entry from me. - I actually put some effort and thought into that one.

And here's a slightly messier version with a stoopid cube in the background for no reason
