Hi I want to make a game, where on the last level, your entire squad gets killed, and you are under heavy attack, you hold them off for as long as you can, but there are simply to many enemies, what i want to be able to do is, when your health reaches "0" a ending video .avi cut scene occurs, showing your player backing up to a wall, firing madly (im an animator so i can do this in 3ds max), my question is, how can I get fps creator to play a .avi file when my health reaches "0" then end the game, I have an idea but i dont think it will work,

any help would be appricated

I think this might require scripting, something along the lines of this:
If health reaches zero then play file "deathscene".avi. However I am not a programmer and this is just a rough outline of what I think you could do, but I'm sure there is someone on the forums that could help you out more.

If you can see the enemy, they can see you.

As I know when you die in "Alpha Project"a video shows like what you said.

But it is for all levels and I don't know if you can place different videos for different levels.
And I think that game made with "Project Blue Mod".

Sigh.. I remember the days when people wanted to learn to make things for themselves..

Anyhow..

Put this in your gameover.fpi



Now just make a dead.wmv video file and put it in your videobank folder. It should come up when you die.

Thanks for your help guys I will use this on the final level, fps lags when you got a lot of rocks its an out door desert level very similar to the ending of halo reach

Thanks a lot,
But the problem is that script will works only when you have one life not when you have for example 3 lives and if you have 3 lives you'll see no video until you die 3 times.

Have our guns was a mistake!!!
