I suppose that would be a nice feature for some people. It can become confusing at the very beginning if you know nothing about FPSC, scripting, etc. However, I would not use such a feature as we already have our steps/patterns in place.
It's the same theory as the person that invented a calculator. Years ago when I went to school, we did our math calculations by paper and pencil. Nowadays kids use a calculator, and you would be surprised how many could not do it manually if they had to.
Bottom line is you can try to make some things easy, but one has to have the time and willingness to dissect the applications they use. Learn what things do, play with it, make notes, learn from mistakes. Something simple like placing a door and switch, then looking at the script to understand how it works will teach you a lot. If you "do the majority" of the work by adding features, then what is learned? And how does one solve problems if something gets messed up?
I'm not against your idea, I'm just seasoned with experience and find that adding things can be good or bad, depending on how one looks at it and how it is used.
