This is strange and weird question. However I will not be surprised IF its been asked before so here we go...Can a FPSC game be converted to cell phone format or is that impossible ? The reason why I ask is because the game market as we know is moving away from the PC in this economy, Not completely mind you! But more and more people are wanting to play games on there cells now a days. Thank you.

Well, DJ Almix mentioned the correct answer.. I'll expand some on it.

Dark Basic Proffessional(Our language of choice Not really, but FPSC uses it) runs off of the Windows Platform only, using Microsoft's DirectX9, even if you were to use a Windows cellphone they do not support DirectX9, especially not the shader functions and other post-processing features.. Not to mention the giant amount of memory FPSC 'abuses', and the fact we more or less need a keyboard and a mouse to get anything done in a shooter.

So unless you manage to find a phone with complete computer specs this is highly unlikely, I mean you'd need ~2gb of space for a simple game..

I wasn't trying to be mean either, I just don't know anything about programming (i.e: as to why you can't port it)

Thank you Silvester

Oh, I wasn't trying to imply you were being rude.. My bad, I'm a tad hazy right now.. Horrible night without any sleep, a busted ankle for which I'm drugged like crazy and my head feels like I've been hit by a truck.. So I might've missed a few crucial bits on my own post as well.

EDIT : That and they'd probably ask why it's not possible anyways. They always do..

I understand. I just had to ask, Somebody had to ask eventually. I'll just use an game engine that does support games for cell phones. Thank you again.
