Im sure this is something simple. But how do I make a sound set? I think I think a file in voices and set the FPI or something to the folders name but wanted to make sure. Basicly I need to change the sound of walking to a engine running. Ideas?

I think the soundset can't be changed , unless making a MOD.Such as the Airmod.

Ofcourse there is.
Go to:
files/audiobank/voices
Now, make a copy of the 'player' file
Rename the copy to Player - Backup
Now, go into the player file, and you will see
spawn.wav, hurt1.wav, hurt2.wav, hurt3.wav, leap.wav, land.wav, and finalmoan.wav.
All you need to do, is go over this audio and make it your own.
Use a program like Audacity, and just delete the current audio, and record your own into it.
It is a good idea to listen to it first, so you get the idea what it should sound like.

Now, to get it in game, rename the folder to something, in this case, 'example'.
In the editor, place your characters spawn marker, and right click on it.
Right down the bottom, you will see 'soundset: player'
DONT click on it to select it to select yours, it will not work.
Just delete the name player, and replace it with example.

That should hopefully bring in your own soundset.
But, you will have to change this each time you place the player's spawn point, unless you completely replace the files in the default player file.
For this all to work, It must be in the voices file, and must be in .wav format.

Yeah but i need it to change or do two things rather. Idle sound and a driving sound aka walkng sound. The walking sound currently is a player walking sound. Need that changed so do I just backup and replace the walking sound with the sound I need? Also how do I even set a idel loop sound? FPI?

Yeah, that sounds like something that would need to be scripted.
It wouldn't be achievable via the soundset.

I'd love to help, but I'm afraid my FPI skills are next to none.
At the moment, I'm busy working on.. Something of my own.

If you look at the segment floor fps you will find they use materials these can easily be changed, your problem will be in finding a way to get a continuous motor sound (maybe change the footfall rate)whatever, its nothing to do with player soundsets.

Sweet thanks for sharing. Ahh I seen a Comsmic weapon that said something about a sound loop. Can I add a sound loop in the FPI? Would that work? Otherwise Ill just be looking at the segment floor fps thing.
