hi all

i model a car in 3ds max (a very quick one) it is in 5 objects car body and 4 wheels

so i had linked all the wheels to the car body, so when i move the car body in 3ds max the wheels follow.

so my question is, when i export it out to .x file and load it into darkbasic. does the wheels so work as limbs for the car body, or is there an other way to do that ???

thx

This might be better posted under "3D Chat" but yes you can export animations like that from 3DS max. If you are using Panda exporter I think you have to make sure you don't export the bones (if used) but I'm no longer much of an expert on 3DS Max as I haven't used it in anger for a few years...

Yes. Each separate object you make in max, when exported into DB should read as individual limbs. Pretty sure all 3D packages work in this way.

I completely misread the question didn't I.

That seems to be increasing with age... sorry

For some reason I thought you were asking about animation.
