if you want to animate a character, I suggest you open fragmotion, go file/import and get an fpsc ready character, then export it as a ms3d file, then open milkshape and open the character then import your character. Delete everything exept for your custom character and the animated characters skelaton (bones/joints). Then you can assign vertices to the bones.

Poloflece, not to be mistaken for polofleece, polar fleece or polar flece. But I like to go by Polo or PFG, SO GET USED TO IT!

the other possibilities areother than what poloflece said)

load your character into character shop(trial version) I coulen't tell you what to do from there

or animate it yourself and adjust the fpe to fit your animations. makes for a better sense of accomplishment.
