Hey there. I downloaded the official version of v117 since I find v118 beta pretty unstable well my problem is every time I lunched FPSC it keep on saying "FPSC Map Editor has stopped working" but it doesn't end there when I tried to find a solution this error comes up "The application has encountered a problem and needs to close. The software has encountered an error and has been forced to close. Your level could be too large, or your building too many levels. If this problem persist, backup your work and reinstall the software" I still can't figure out what causes the map editor to crash. I've tried reinstalling everything and even try the previous version v1.13-v1.16 works pretty good and is faster than ever so I wonder whats been causing v117 to crash

My specs:

Windows Vista 32bit
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7250 @2.00 GHz
2.49 GB RAM
Mobile Intel(R)965 Express Chipset Family(I know not that good but I can run 1.13-1.16 at a constant of 38-37 FPS)

To anyone who can help, Thanks In Advance

Just a tip. have you tried completely uninstalling FPS Creator and installing a fresh copy, then install all model pack and finaly install the V117 Patch. If you have an still fails.

Blackfox suggested on another thread Vista users install FPS Creator in a different path other then the defult c:\Program Files\Game Creators\FPS Creator. He suggests in the thread that by installing it in a path C:\The Game Creators\FPS Creator it reduces UAC based issues. Whic this could be the cause of your map editor error. If your wondering what UAC is its basicly USer Authentication Certificate I think. Which translates into a windows secruity feature to help protect you from unwanted installs like spyware etc. However UAC causes more problems then what it reduces. You can turn it off, but then everything turns to crap and dont work correctly. I hope this information helps.
