Been thinking about this for awhile. My wifes a huge Kiss fan, so what about a Kiss community Pack hehe. Heres the idea rough draft wise.

Guitars-weapons
Segements-Lots of Kiss based stuff
Item-Anything Kiss related
Instruments-guitar (of course), drum set, Mic, Speakers, Amps, PA System
Sounds-If your in a band or know a band will to help, post some riffs or something so its all legal like

Plan:
Take the sounds and script them into the weapons and items etc so they are innteractive.

Submit your Kiss Stuff Here.

The pack we remain free to the community standard Lic will apply. Aka free to everyone to share but not for resale in any way shape or form. Ill work on some Segments. Just need some modelers for the other stuff. Maybe even a Kiss Tree or something. Lets go crazy, its Kiss the greatest Rock Band ever (Next to Led Zep of course)

I could record some drum stuff, but i dont know what?

1. loops?
2. single samples (i.e a snare, bass, tom etc)
3. other ideas?

He would lose. This is perfectly legal, Rick Astley didn't sue when a model of him was made for FPSC. As long as it's your work, and you don't sell.

it depends of manager of band, if he says no U can't use their trademark in any case so it is in good taste to ask for permission even for non-commercial project because in some case it could be turn against U. Manager cares of the name of band.

Lets be realistic, I dont think Kiss is going to visit FPSC and be like hey man u stold our name. Thanks buying all my recoords btw. An even though did not sell this im going to sue u.

Letss consider how dumb this sounds? Besides I dont see the Holy bible companys sueing when we say the word jeuss. In order to be sued, you 1 must try to profit by using their name. That is the first step to having a legal casr. Step 2 try to profit with out permission or consent. Step 3 Deface the band by trying to promote or profit from their name illeagaly.

Were not promoting kiss nor are we defacing the band. An were not trying to profit in any way shape or form. If you want Ill write a letter to Gene a tell him "Hey were making a kiss fan FPSC pack is that coool?" Im sure my next letter will be wtf is FPSC and why do I care.

is ok if U make it just for your friend but if many people (from forum) will play your fun game it depends how the story will be.
btw. I see some profit if U contact their manager - maybe they will support your project with their songs and will be more fun...

Gene sued a photographer, for taking his picture without permission. Anyone who has watched his show knows he's very litigious. I would be very careful,

All completely irrelevant and untrue, you guy's really need to learn licensing law before you decide to misinform some of the younger folks around here. If your not a lawyer please dont make it up as you go along. I know you think your argument is sound if your not profiting but then again most pirates of media etc dont make a profit either ad use the same argument.

Kiss are one of most prolific hunters of their logo/artwork/name being used out there as stated above.
Good luck on your e-mail though, thing is if you dont get a response it wont mean its ok and you just gave em a heads up, so go careful with this one.

I think that if you are going to make a Kiss pack, you should really try and do them justice. I was part of the old kiss army, i even think I still have the card somewhere. This is not to be harsh or judgemental, but since you asked for the community to contribute, here you go. Hope this helps out.

That is awsome. one thing though. Anything with a Kiss label, we prob should wait till i hear back from Gene about creation on this project. For now lets stick to Rock N Roll in general. Like no name music instruments and amps etc. I dont want to get sued lol

Well I don't really know Kiss much but I like playing guitar so I figured I could contribute so I'm having a go at making a Flying V

here's how it looks so far (I'm trying a new way of modeling it)




Poloflece, not to be mistaken for polofleece, polar fleece or polar flece. But I like to go by Polo or PFG, SO GET USED TO IT!
