Hello, this is my first post on this forum I am new here so you will have to forgive the newbie questions.

I am looking into purchasing a game engine that will allow me to create a game "Like" the old Squaresoft games. Example:

1) Handles multiple sprites on screen.
2) Handles some sort of movie codec during game play (FMV's).
3) Can generate pre-rendered backgrounds with walk-meshes (not a biggie).

If another program/s that this site offers will help me achieve my goal I am all ears!

I am skilled in various forms of internet code, but sadly game creation is a bit out of my league...But with this, it looks like it might be possible!

Thanks in advanced.

Welcome to DarkBASIC Pro!
1) Handles multiple sprites on screen. You bet it can. You assign the number to the sprite, and there you are. Setting up animation is up to you, but of course possible and not to difficult.

2) http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2000&page=features#formats

rem allow user create game with one click
rem create graphics, sound, scripts, models, with one click
rem slap user in face if game choice is mmo

It's a programming language, you can do anything you want! Download the free version and see for yourself.
