I thought this should light up with a light near it. But its not wanting to light up. I think its from the medievil model pack. Ideas?

errm dont put the light in the model??? That usually works for me because to light get trapped or something like that but move it a bit in front on it.

Tried it out side of it allready but ill try it again. Thanks for tip. I just looked at its .dds file. Looked very different then the rest.

GRRRRR still not working. Is there a fx shader file or something it needs to light up?

An illumination map makes a part of the texture glowing even if it's dark, it won't make other things bright.

Just turn the regular texture greyscale, up the contrast, and adjust the brightness.

Thats just going to illuminate the whole object if used as an illumination map.
An illumination map simply is a black map which has white areas, these white areas will appear with full brightness in game and are not affected by lighting or ambience.
I dont have the medieval pack but whoever made it, its likely they included the map with the model, look for a ****_I.dds texture in the entity's folder if its there simply apply the illumination shader to the model.
