Here is a simple ladder I made using Doomsters Segment/modeling tool. Ill show you breifly how I made this:

1) Load Ms Paint and make your outline ladder:

2)Load gimp and use the texture fill tool. When thats done you will have a bunch of white spots. No biggy. Save and open it with Paint.net and fill those white spots with a dark color. I used a very dark brown on mine.

3) Now it looks like a ladder. Hmm lets recolor it darker. Gimps wood texure is ok but I want to go darker. So I load it up in Paint.net and darken the hue a little. Next I slide the saturation slightly negative to give it a more blended look.

4) Use the magic wand to remove the excess white stuff and I save it as a .DDS image.

5) I load up doomsters tool and make sure both enity and segment our checked. An then I import the image.

Closeing Statements:
Now even though this is a ladder in this game. Maybe next time Ill use it as a train track or something. So I set both segment and enity for future use.

How to use it as a ladder:
Since this time I want it as a ladder, I open up enitys and choose my ladder. Then I click on "Step 1". It will outline it in black. No worries all that will disappear in game.

Now I need to adjust my ladder so I can "climb up it". No biggy I adjust it using my 1 and 2 keys to move it how I need it angled. Next I use my page up and page down key to move it in place.

Tadaaa you have a simple ladder. It will not look super great but its your ladder and you love your new ladder. An you did not even have to make a complicated model to do it.
