hi everyone. im new to animation, fpsc, and animation. Im sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but i have some very important questions that im dying to know. (ive searched, but not enough good answers)

1.) How can you make your own custom gun for fpsc?
DETAILS: Like basically what programs can you use to make your own custom gun, WITH a relaoding animation with it? i have autodesk maya. but if theres a easier program to use please tell me. like maybe theres a program that makes the model, but then you must import it into a different program to make the reloading animation for it. and after youve made the gun in whatever program, how do you import it into fps creator and make it functional?

2.) can someone give me a download to a free custom gun someone has made here so i can test it and try to get it functional in fpsc? (please give me a direct link. ive searched but havent been able to use the download)

3.) Can anyone give me a video or written tutorial on HOW to make a custom gun in whatever program and make a reloading animation?
Example: How to make a M16 in google sketch. or something like that. it can be any gun. i just need to know how to make a reloading animation for it and make it functional in fpsc.

thank you guys some much o whoever answers this. im sorry if this is the wrong section or if these question have been answered before, i really am. but im DYING to know the answers to these questions. thanks

1.)As far as I recall: Maya costs around 4000 Dollars So, I doubt you have legally purchased it... no offense at all! I don't give a damn about such things, but just be careful with what you write.

I would suggest Blender(free) or Milkshape 3D (Low Priced.) A good addition is fragmotion (low priced)

...here's a pistol that would look mighty nifty, once ported into FPSC:

ok heres the basic workflow

1 model the weapon in any 3d program that can export to .x format

2 uvw map your model

3 export the uv map to a 2d art program ( photoshop gimp etc )& paint the texture for your weapon.

4 apply your texture to your model then animate the model in your 3d program

5 when all modeling texturing & animating are done export your finished model to .x format

6 edit an existing models files to use your model texture & animations & save in the correct fpsc folders.

7 play with your new weapon .

simple

on a side note if you are new to modeling ,uvw mapping or texturing then start making basic entitys first dont try to run before you can walk !!!!

to many people on this forum think they can just download a 3d program & build game quality assets right off the bat ,but its like every thing else in life you need to learn the basics first before you can master an art.good luck

cheers henry

Speaking of Firearms, we have allready dozens of those available - in top quality and at very reasonable prices.

I'd rather go for melee weapons first, because they are easier to animate (no reload or aiming) AND you could come up much easier with something original - Like our henry ham here, who did a Frying Pan as a weapon

ok guys thanks for the answers!
but i got a few more questions:

1.) I got my gun model and its completly finished. how EXACTLY do i import it into fpsc for me to actualy use and shoot with?

2.) I made a reloading animation for my gun of course, but when i import it into fpsc, how will fpsc know to play my reloading animation when i press r? and if it dosent play my reloading animation for my gun when i press "r" in the game, how can i tell fpsc to play my reloading animation when i press "r"? please be specific. (note: i used maya for the animation, models etc.)

3.) do you guys have any gun models i can import into maya?
