i dont like the blood on the torso, looks really fake to me. add some more grunge to his uniform, i mean a zombie with a clean uniform

Well...for Wehrmacht Zombies I wouldn't overuse the blood.

When I think World War, I think mud, I think rain and trenches where the blood would dry out very fast or get washed away:

I would suggest giving them ripped of clothes and... bla bla bla

Just look at this Screenshot:

Cool but this time they look to humanlike yet. (In my opinion)
I even think a bit blood wouldnt be bad or more unrealistic than the whole thing (ZOMBIES!!!)

Doing the face is the hardest part retextureing ive discovered. Right now they look really dark on the face. Then again, the stock models never did look that great in the face anyway. I dont have my friend shwetas number any more but here is a clip of some horses she did a while back and we sold.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tvWYrkS92k

Granted Shweta does textureing for a living so I dont think you will have as good as results as she can make. But the point is look at the detail on the muscle tone and face on the animal. An these were bad screen shots as well. The horse looks far better in game and in Frag.

The little secret she taught me was shading the face pixel by pixel. Really blend the face in to the colors your using. For cheak bones, try a dark brown or dark grey mixed with a peach. She used photoshop. But Ive been able to get good results with Paint.net. Expect to take about 60 to 10 hours at lest touching up and blending the face features. The face is probaly the most critical thing on a human char.

Im no where as good as she was but I hope this info helps. An incase your wondering, she works for Cartoon Network now. So if you get good lol I could find a way to contact her if you live near Atlanta GA. But she might of moved who knows lol I have a few other artist friends if you would like to chat with them as well. Just shoot me a email, Ill dig out my old email list if you need some help or guidence.

another hint would be playing around with the contrast and brightness.

You are doing well already!
