Every time I close, I get a pop up window saying EditorNew.exe crashed. Every time I try to open a dbpro or dba file, nothing comes up. The program opens, but doesn't load. When I try to compile, it says 'projectname'.dbpro.dba file not found or something similar.

I'm running Windows XP and have the installation on the X:\DarkBasic or something of the like.

Any help?

Sounds like you've got an old version of the editor.

You can find out which version you've got from the Help menu. Click on the two "About" options and report back what you see. The latest versions are 1.075 for DBPro and Jun 23 2010 for the editor.

You can download the latest version from a link in the first post in this thread:

Well, it obviously isn't.

Just download the latest update and install it.

Dammit now it doesn't do anything. It doesn't crash sure, but it won't compile anything. No error messages of any kind on any code I use. It just brings up a black window and then it disappears without compiling.

I've used example code, my code, and random snippets from the forum I knew to work before.

I checked the options and the program is still pointing to dbcompiler.exe properly... now what could it be?

Completely uninstalled everything (including an older version I had stuff in my HD for a while) and reinstalled it all directly into the default directory on C:\ etc etc

Before it was on X:\

It now appears to work (In case anyone else had the same problem)

BBBGui happened to be happenstance

Turns out I can't double click or click and drag any projects. I have to go to file > open and file > close to get any of it to work...

Which is fine at least it works
