Hello! Seeing as there are already many programmed mods that can only be used on at a time, and only in certain versions, I have decided to make a simple enhancement mod to the editor.
C&C welcomed!

Oh yeah this is still a WIP so no downloads until yall really want it or I add more

Features so far:

-Smaller lights in editor allow for more precise lighting

-Player start upgrade: uses soldier model and allows more precise starting points (really helpful)

-Custom Editor GFx: make editing colorful and exciting in this cool sci fi GFX pack! These textures are the same size as original, so no extra lag (i think)

If you have ANY ideas you would like in this mod (more like upgrade, but mod sounds cooler please let me know!

Screen attached in Editor. Green soldier is starting point.

Hmm, I think just by changing the brightness of the grid, so it inst as vibrant might work.
But it looks too '3 dimensional'.
Maybe get rid of the different shaded triangles, or at least make the shades a lot closer together, so they will blend easier.

I think the Player Start Upgrade is the best idea you have in there. however it i do like the idea of a custom editor look. another idea would be to have multiple editor looks to choose from.

but keep up the good work of thinking outside of the box!

I think you darkened it too much. I would keep both the ones you have made and make a third that is in between. Then allow users to pick between the three.

Im going to make a program in Visual Studio 2008 that lets you choose a background or a "theme".

@DarkFrost im glad you like them

@EHOH: Great minds think alike
Also, You may want to change your explanation of the new Player Start. Honestly it confused me at first. So it just shows the soldier model in green as the player start instead of the arrow? Maybe add 2 features: ability to change the start marker from model back to arrow. Allow users to use their own models as the start marker. Maybe just make a program built in that auto-applies a shader that makes the model green?

@ Design runner pretty much the player start.fpe uses the wehrmacht model instead of the arrow and i dont see why anyone would want to use a giant arrow instead of a model of a person. I also think its pointless to load any model other than a person since you are almost always a person in FPSC games. And why would it have to load a shader just to make it green when it could just use a simple texture...

1. If the player isn't a person. Said it yourself
2. good point. Didn't really think that one threw.
anyways it is just a suggestion.

Okay. It doesnt mattter what the model looks like. Its in the editor. And it is to scale with the character collider. So why in the world would you want something else when ur the only one who sees it anyway?

Will you include its source so others can add things too? I think there needs to be more "open" projects around the boards and this looks promising. Just an idea.

Well its not really one solid mod, and the theme editor will be written C#. But i might work on the map editor as well.

and yes it will be open source
