Im happy to say that it is so mutch easyer for Me as a C4D user today compare to a few months ago. To make things work out with FPS Creator We needed both Fragmotion AND Milkshape(!) to handle animated FPSC objects. Gladly Cinema 4D Users can make amazing bone animations inside Cinema and then Export the animation as a FBX 5.0 to Fragmotion that now also have a better directx exporter than Milkshape JTs exporter. That means Cinema 4D owners dosnt need Milkshape anymore.(And We wont miss it) As usual Cinema 4D export non animation models direct to FPSC without problems. Its funny to see that C4D has become so mutch more popular among Developers and Graphic Artists sence Ive used it for so many years, and I became really surprised when I heard it even has an .ase exporter that works fine with UDK.. For beginners I can really recommend Cinema 4D as it is the program many think is the most easy 3D software to learn 3D from. I did, and I dont regret it...

That sounds good. is it an easy to learn program? I've had my hands at a lot of different software products, but C4D isn't one of them.

I think so, many of these programs dosnt have sutch a natural and simple "learning-curve" as Cinema 4D, many icons have pictures instead of word menus and Cinema 4D is easyer to learn but that dosnt mean easy. Nowdays the Gaming industry are really fighting for the skilled and the best 3d Artists. Cinema 4D has been used by most big names in TV/Film/Game Industry, for exampel Steven Spielberg and worldfamous architects, but is now getting more popular among gamedevelopers, the Unity engine for exampel can load .c4d files direct into the engine, witch can be used for everything basiclly. But FPS Creator is good enough right. The best thing with C4D is its easy texturing system that supports all the great features and special effects (but You dont need that crap to make a simple color texture work) Just drag the texture to the object or a polygon You want textured. And it has ofcourse Professional rendering as well.. Id say there are not many 3D softwares that can compete with its Logic way of use and natural layout. I have used 3DSMAX Myself and I think it is a killer of Creativity, I have Lightwave, But NOTHING can be compared to Cinema 4D, and the time You save using it... I recommend You to download a trial, and if You have any questions regarding Cinema 4D I will take time to answer them...

I think this is for the 3d board

anyways, i use 3ds max, but for simple game props you dont need expensive programs. Blender is really powerfull and free. About the learning curve, if you put enough time and patient in a program, its no program to learn it. im sure you can learn c4d as fast as 3ds max.

"3ds max does that too mate..."

Yes, But it dosnt make the texture ready for use after one click for download... (You have to open the material browser)

"I think this is for the 3d board"

No, I take only questions regarding to FPS Creator. FPSC Modelling import/export to FPSC. etc...

No, but timeconsuming... Include Settings that is not needed in C4D.

I know it isn't "easy" to use, I was just curious if its worth it to start learning another program that may have a more complicated interface for example and would make me forget all the stuff for other programs. thanks for the info guys.
