On my laptop I run a radon HD 5000 series chip, and the shader 3.0 works fine.

I'm on an HD 5450 and it works fine.

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

I have an old X1900 in the fileserver, and still there I have all bond shaders working.

A couple years ago, many Radeon cards didn't work with shader model 3, because ATI wanted to push their proprietary shader model 2b.

But nowadays newer Radeon cards seem to work just fine. I don't know if it was because of shoddy drivers, or the cards just didn't support it at the time.
